Tyler Bonham is the owner of Durango Remodeling, a family-owned residential remodeling company serving Southwest Colorado with a focus on craftsmanship, communication, and thoughtful design-build construction. Raised in the construction industry, Tyler grew up learning the trade from his father, Tuck Bonham, who originally founded the company in 1980 before relocating the business to Durango in 2001.

Tyler’s passion for building began early through cabinetry construction and installation, where he developed an appreciation for precision craftsmanship and interior finish work. Over the years, he expanded his expertise beyond construction, earning a degree in Electrical Engineering and Business Management before working internationally to help establish manufacturing facilities around the world. He later transitioned into stateside operations and became a PMP-certified project manager, bringing a unique combination of technical knowledge, organization, and leadership to the remodeling industry.

In 2017, Tyler officially took over Durango Remodeling and continued growing the company while maintaining its long-standing reputation for quality over volume. Together with his wife and business partner, Jess Bonham, Tyler helped evolve the company into a full-service design-build remodeling firm in 2020. Their collaborative approach combines Tyler’s construction and project management expertise with Jess’s background in design, merchandising, and real estate project management to create a seamless client experience from concept through construction.

Tyler specializes in residential remodeling projects ranging from historic homes built in the 1800s to modern mountain residences throughout the Durango area. His team is especially known for detailed interior work, custom trim, cabinetry, and renovations that blend modern functionality with the original character of a home. Under his leadership, Durango Remodeling has built a reputation for maintaining strong communication, detailed planning, and transparent project management throughout every phase of construction.

Committed to quality craftsmanship and customer experience, Tyler prioritizes clear communication, organized scheduling, and minimizing disruption for homeowners during the remodeling process. He works closely with clients to fully understand their goals, vision, and lifestyle needs while ensuring projects remain efficient, clean, and professionally managed.

Outside of construction, Tyler and the Durango Remodeling team are committed to sustainability and community involvement by donating reusable building materials whenever possible and recycling scrap materials from job sites to help reduce landfill waste.
